Trevor Dodds was a first team All-American in 1985 after posting a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships.

Dodds also earned Academic All-America honors in 1985. He carded a four-round total of 289, four strokes off the winning score, at the 1985 NCAA Championships in Haines City, Fla. He posted the tournament’s two lowest rounds, a pair of 67s shot in the second and final founds of the tournament.

Dodds led Lamar University to a ranking of sixth in the nation during the 1985 season. He paced the Cardinals with a 72.0 scoring average in 1985. Dodds qualified as an individual for the 1983 and 1984 NCAA Tournament. She shot a 9-under-par 207 to help LU claim the team title in the prestigious University of Texas Morris Williams Invitational.
