Cardinal Hall of Honor
Modica was an elite hurdler for the Red and White during early 1960s. A four-year letterwinner, Modica became one of the top track and field athletes in the Lone Star Conference. He captured two conference titles during the 1963 season taking the Lone Star's top spot in the 120-yard high hurdles and the 330-yard intermediate hurdles. Due to his efforts on the track, Modica helped guide the Cardinals to the 1963 LSC team title. Modica capped his career by winning the 120-yard hurdle title as a senior.
