A three-sport athlete, Regina Myers participated in softball, volleyball and women’s basketball for Lamar University from 1970-74.

A four-year starter at point guard on the basketball team, she helped LU record a 22-7 record in 1973-74, and was named all-tournament three times.

A three-year starter on the softball team, Myers posted a 28-2 pitching record and was recognized as the best collegiate softball pitcher in Texas from 1971-74. She helped LU finish second in the state tournament in 1972.

A two-year letterwinner in volleyball, Myers helped Lamar to a 14th-place finish at the AIAW National Tournament in 1971 and a ninth-place finish in 1972.
Myers went on to become a very successful high school coach in the Beaumont area, with stints at Hebert, South Park and Central high schools.
