Ruby Randolph was a four-year letterwinner on the Lamar University volleyball team from 1981 through 1985. She helped LU win back-to-back Southland Conference championships in 1983 and 1984.

Randolph earned first team All-Southland Conference honors in 1984 and 1985, and was named Southland Conference Player of the Year in 1984. She led the Southland Conference in kills in 1984 (535) and 1985 (664).

A Beaumont native, Randolph set the school’s single-season record for kills with 664 in 1985, while her 535 kills in 1984 ranked seventh on LU’s list at the time of her induction. Her 1,469 total attacks in 1985 were second on LU’s list. She tied a school record with 34 kills against Texas State in 1985.

Randolph, who recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 15 digs in LU’s loss at ninth-ranked Texas in the first round of the 1984 NCAA Regionals, ranked second on LU’s all-time career list with 1,749 kills and was third with 3,859 total attacks at the time of her induction.
