Luke Adams was a two-time All-Southland Conference performer (1970, 1971). He averaged 15.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in the 1969-70 season and 23.0 points and 11.1 rebounds per game in 1970-71, leading the team in those categories both seasons.

Adams’ 23.0 points per game in 1970-71 ranked as the third-best single-season average in school history at the time of his induction. He was named Southland Conference Player of the Year honors that season.

Adams scored 30 or more points in a game twice, with a career-high 39 points against UT Arlington. He recorded 20 pints and 20 rebounds in a game on two occasions, with 39 points and 24 rebounds vs. UT Arlington, and 25 points and 22 rebounds vs. West Florida. He posted career averages of 19.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.
