HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The Lamar University women's golf team placed seventh at the Southland Conference Tournament that wrapped up Wednesday at the Ravens Nest Golf Course.

Lamar finished with a three-round total of 935, 50 strokes behind champion Texas State's 885. Central Arkansas and host Sam Houston State tied for second at 887.

Lamar's Stine Pedersen finished 14th with a 17-over-par 227 for 54 holes. Lauren Van Gerven of Lamar finished in a tie for 24th with a three-round total of 234. Rebecca Sorensen of Central Arkansas won the individual title with a 3-over-par 213, six strokes ahead of four golfers.
