HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The Lamar University women's golf team remained in seventh place after the second day of the Southland Conference Tournament at the Ravens Nest Golf Club.
Lamar has a two-round total of 625, 47 strokes behind leader Sam Houston State's 578.
Stine Pedersen had Lamar's best round of the day with a 3-over-par 74, putting her into a tie for 16th place with a 10-over-par 152 for 36 holes on the 6,067-yard, par-71 layout. Rebecca Sorensen of Central Arkansas fired a 70 for the second straight day, giving her a 2-under-par 140, two strokes ahead of Sam Houston's Kirsten Spitler for the overall lead.
The final round gets under way at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
