BRYAN, Texas -- Lamar shot a second-straight 373 and that was good enough to jump four spots to conclude the Aggie Invitational in seventh place at the Traditions Golf Club on Sunday.
Lamar's 746 total placed it just one shot out of the top five and only four strokes from tying for third overall.
Hugues Joannes followed Saturday's 70 with an even-par 72 to finish tied for fourth at 142.
Kevin Hesbois also turned in a solid effort as his 3-over-par 75 gave him a 36-hole score of even par 144 and a tied for 11th.
Xavier Feyaerts shaved a stroke off his round one 75 with a 74 and tied for 26th at 149. After birdying his first hole (No. 10), he played the next four at 5-over before recovering to tour the final 13 at 2-over.
Justin Harding shot his second-consecutive 77 to tie for 54th at 154.
Leroux Ferriera and Jake Fuljenz each made considerable strides on Saturday, slicing a combined 13 strokes off their day one cards. Ferriera's 75 gave him a 157 total and tie for 64th, while Fuljenz's final-round 78 included an eagle-birdie sequence on Nos. 15 and 16 as his 162 score place him in a tie for 74th.
Oklahoma State, who led by five shots after the first round, lost the lead to Texas A&M midway through Sunday before regrouping for a three-shot victory at 714. A&M was second at 717. Ohio State was third at 741 with San Diego State and TCU tied for fourth at 744.
Lamar will be off for one week before heading to the Texas Hill Country for the Southland Conference Championship. The 54-hole event will be held April 27-29 at Comanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas. Lamar has won a league-record 22 crowns, including three consecutive which includes the 2007 title at Comanche Trace.
