Cardinals wrap up Tiger Intercollegiate

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Lamar University closed out the regular season by finishing 17th out of 19 teams at the Tiger Intercollegiate, concluding play Tuesday afternoon at The Club at Old Hawthorne.

The Cardinals posted a three-round total of 883 (286-296-301). LU recorded 56 pars and six birdies during the final round.

Nathan Woodham closed his round with eight consecutive pars on the back nine while Filip Widepalm tallied six straight pars to finish the front nine.

Rory Bennett led the Cardinals with three birdies, including back-to-back birdies on the seventh and eighth holes.

David Schneider Jerez and Widepalm each added birdies on the back nine, coming on the 18th and 17th holes, respectively.

Bramford also contributed a birdie on the fifth hole.

Missouri claimed the tournament title with a three-round total of 833 (279-271-283), finishing seven strokes ahead of Iowa State.

Missouri's Veikka Viskari secured the individual crown after carding a 204 (68-65-71), holding off Tarleton State's Alvaro Pastor by two strokes.
