DALLAS -- Lamar shot a final round 293 for an 872 total to finish tied for second with Oklahoma at the Baylor Intercollegiate.
Lamar had been playing steady golf and was within one stroke of eventual champion Texas A&M eight holes into the round but struggled on the early portion of the back nine at Royal Oaks Country Club - the same spot it struggled with on Monday morning.
Lamar did manage to finish ahead of No. 14 Arkansas (873) and No. 17 Baylor (875) - both of whom are ranked ahead of the Cardinals. Texas A&M won the event at 870.
Individually, Justin Harding posted his lowest round of the event with a 68 to finish tied for second at even par 213. He rebounded with from a bogey at No. 7 with a birdie on No. 8 and entered the final three holes at even. He then birdied NO. 16 and eagled the par 5 18th for the second-consecutive round to jump six places.
Hugues Joannes carded a 69 on Tuesday and tied for seventh at 3-over-par 216.
Leroux Ferriera wasn't able to maintain his top-10 standing as he finished tied for 15th at 220 following a final round 77.
Wynand Snymon tied for 35th at 226 while Kevin Hesbois' second-straight 79 placed him in a tie for 58th at 236.
Lamar will conclude its fall season next week at the CordeValle Collegiate in San Martin, Calif. The 12-team field will include some of the toughest competition to date as Arizona, Arkansas, Augusta State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Northwestern, Santa Clara, USC, Stanford, UCLA and Washington will join LU.
