LAFAYETTE, La. — On the final day of competition at the Louisiana Classics, Lamar University men's golf finished seventh in a 16‑team field on Tuesday afternoon at Oakbourne Country Club.
The Cardinals posted a three‑round total of 853 (291–272–290).
Filip Widepalm led LU with a one‑under 71, recording three birdies and 13 pars. He opened his round with five straight pars.
Matthew Bramford also shot a one‑under 71, carding three birdies and 14 pars. He was two under on the back nine with two birdies and seven pars.
Nathan Woodham finished at even par (72) on the day, tallying three birdies and 12 pars. He began the back nine with five consecutive pars.
Rory Bennet added two birdies on the back nine to finish even par over his final nine holes while
David Schneider Jerez contributed a birdie on the 13th hole.
No. 29 Texas A&M captured the team title with a 54‑hole total of 840 (278–275–287), finishing seven strokes ahead of No. 48 Little Rock.
UL Lafayette's Malan Potgieter claimed the individual championship with a three‑round score of 201 (65–67–69), three shots ahead of Middle Tennessee's Carter Maneth.
