Four Cardinals named to SLC All-Academic team

BEAUMONT, Texas — Four Cardinals earned a spot on the Southland's All-Academic team for women's golf, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Karolina Krasova, Kamaya Moodliar, Brooke Frerichs and Montana Di Leo were all honored.

Karolina Krasova, a native of Rivany, Czech Republic, posted a 77.0 stroke average over 10 tournaments and 30 rounds (2,311 strokes).

Krasova recorded one round of par or better, shooting an even-par 72 in the final round of the Islanders Collegiate Invitational on Feb. 17.

She was one of two Cardinals to record a top 10 finish, tying for third at the Cardinal Challenge on March 31.

During the fall, Krasova recorded the second-best scoring average of 76.5.

Krasova posted her best 54-hole score of 224 at The Judson on Oct. 28 and earned both Dean's List and President's List honors.

Brooke Frerichs | Jr. | GPA: 3.31 | Major: Psychology

Brooke Frerichs led the Cardinals with a 76.0 stroke average across eight tournaments and 24 rounds.

Frerichs recorded two rounds of par or better and tied for the team's lowest round with a 3-under 69 in the final round of the Wolverine Invitational on Sept. 9.

She posted three top 15 finishes, highlighted by a 12th-place showing at the Southland Conference tournament.

Frerichs also recorded the team's second-best 54-hole score, firing a 219 at the Wolverine Invitational.

She led the Cardinals with a 75.6 stroke average in the fall and tied for the lowest spring average at 76.3.

A native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Frerichs also earned Dean's List honors.

Kamaya Moodliar | Fr. | GPA: 4.0 | Major: Economics

Kamaya Moodliar emerged as a key contributor, posting the team's second-best stroke average at 76.9 over 10 tournaments and 30 rounds.

Moodliar recorded a team-best five rounds of par or better and tied for the lowest round of the season with a 3-under 69 in the second round of the Wolverine Invitational.

She also posted the team's top 54-hole score, firing a 215 to tie for sixth at the West Texas Classic on March 3.

Moodliar recorded five top 20 finishes and earned President's List honors. She also tied for the lowest spring average at 76.3.

Montana Di Leo | Jr. | GPA: 4.0 GPA | Major: Management

Montana Di Leo, a native of Orange, competed in 18 rounds across six spring tournaments.

She posted a 78.7 stroke average on 1,417 total strokes.

Di Leo recorded a season-low round of 73 in the opening round of the West Texas Classic.

She also turned in her best 54-hole score of 226 at the Southland Conference tournament, where she tied for 20th.
