BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University head coaches
Janell O'Connor (women's golf) and
David Wong (women's tennis) will not be retained for the 2026-27 academic year announced Vice President and Director of Athletics
Jeff O'Malley Monday morning.
"I would like to personally thank both David and Janell for their hard work in relation to their respective programs," said O'Malley. "I wish both them and their families all the best moving forward."
Wong has been with Lamar for the past 27 seasons, while O'Connor has served as head coach for past seven seasons. A national search for their replacement will begin immediately.
