DOWN 12? NO PROBLEM
Big Red trailed by a dozen at halftime Thursday before rallying to win. This was the biggest comeback win of the season and the second-highest in the Aqua Franklin era. Two seasons ago, Lamar fell behind by 13 at halftime to UL Lafayette before pulling out a 63-60 win. LU has also won five games in Coach Franklin's tenure in which they faced double-digit halftime deficits.

JACEI'S GO AHEAD THREE & TOP 10 ASSIST MARK
Jacei Denley's three-pointer with less than four to play put Big Red up for good, but it was her sixth assist of the game to Solenne Olenga that helped LU maintain its three-point lead in the closing seconds. That was her 237th career assist, which ties her for 10th all-time in program history along with Viboonluk Kributr.

SOUTHLAND UPDATE
LU is tied for second in the conference with Stephen F. Austin. Both teams lead by a game over fourth-place UT Rio Grande Valley, which lost to Northwestern State Thursday. The Ladyjacks will battle with Houston Christian Saturday while the Vaqueros are hosting East Texas A&M.
