BEAUMONT, Texas — The Lamar University men's golf team is back in action this week at the three-day Sandestin Collegiate Classic at the Raven Golf Club in Miramar Beach, Fla.

The Cardinals competed at the Argent Financial Classic back on Sept. 9.
Nathan Woodham and
Toby Peters both tied for 29th.
In his season debut, Peters competed as an individual shooting two rounds at two-under-par (70).
Woodham shot three-under-par (69) while
Fermin Martinez carded a score of two-under-par (70) to highlight the final round.
LU ended up tallying 13 birdies and three eagles during the final round.
Matthew Bramford and
David Schneider Jerez each shot one-under-par (71) in the second round.
SANDESTIN COLLEGIATE CLASSIC
This is the first edition of the Sandestin Collegiate Classic.
The last time Texas State hosted a tournament was in the fall of 2022 when it held the Tempest Collegiate in Gladewater.
The field consists of 13 teams, which includes New Orleans, High Point, Austin Peay, Florida A&M, South Alabama, University of Louisiana Monroe, Mercer, Troy, West Florida, Texas State, Nicholls and Middle Tennessee.
Raven Golf Club is a 6,900-yard par 71 course that is attached to the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
In 2006 and 2007, the course hosted the Boeing Championship at Sandestin as part of the Champions Tour.
