Rory Bennett and Nathan Woodham earn Cobalt Golf All-America scholar honor

BEAUMONT, Texas — Rory Bennett and Nathan Woodham were named 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Tuesday.

To be eligible for nomination, an individual must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.

A total of 556 Division I golfers from 190 schools were recognized as Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.

Lamar University was one of 13 programs in the state of Texas to be recognized.

Bennett, a sophomore from Essex, England, played 30 rounds this past season with a stroke average of 74.4.

He tallied a low round score of 70 at both the Everrett Buick GMC Invitational and Kapolei Invitational.

His best finish of the season came at the Southland Conference Championship after he tied for 18th.

Bennett sported a 3.65 GPA while majoring in finance.

Woodham, a sophomore from Camberley, Surrey, England, competed in 36 rounds as he tallied 2,700 strokes for an average of 74.1.

His season low round score of 66 came at the Everett Buick GMC Classic. He also finished tied for 18th at the Southland Conference Championship.

Woodham, a physics major, tallied a 3.54 GPA.
