FRISCO, Texas — David Schneider Jerez was named second team Academic All-Conference, the Southland Conference office announced Thursday afternoon.

Jerez, a finance major from Fuengirola, Spain, compiled a 3.55 GPA as he was named to the dean's list.

The junior was also named second team All-Southland Conference after leading the Cardinals with a scoring average of 73.2.

Jerez played in 36 rounds and tallied 2,668 strokes. He recorded six rounds of par or better while also tallying two top 10 finishes.

His two top 10 finishes came at the Kapolei Invitational in the fall after he tied for ninth (72-71-75=217) while in the spring he tied for ninth (75-70-71=216) at the SLC Championship.

LU ended up finishing fourth at the SLC Championship. The Cards recorded six top 10 finishes as a team.

Jerez also recorded five top 20 finishes. He led LU in the fall with a 73.6 scoring average while he also led the team in the spring with a scoring average of 74.4. Jerez finished ranked 693rd in the nation as he compiled a 580-387-31 record against other players in NCAA Division I.
