SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — It was a challenging field entering the final day of competition of the Desert Mountain Collegiate on Sunday at Desert Mountain Golf Course.
Lamar University finished 15th with a total score of 930 (302-313-315).
The Cardinals finished fifth in made pars with 152 while they also made 31 birdies and tied for third with three eagles.
Nathan Woodham finished with four birdies and an eagle after shooting two-under-par in round one.
Matthew Bramford shot a score of 73 in the final round after making three birdies, seven for the tournament.
No. 27 Mississippi State won the tournament at 11-under-par (275-292-286), five shots ahead of No. 10 Utah.
Grand Canyon's Matthew placed first on the individual leaderboard with a score of 14-under-par (68-65-69). He had a five-shot lead over Utah's Braxton Watts.
