HUMBLE, Texas — For the third time this season, the Lamar University men's golf team was able to solidify a spot in the top 10.
On the final day of the All-American Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon, the Cardinals finished tied for 10th place at the Golf Club of Houston.
The Cardinals shot the total score of 890 (290-301-299) to finish alongside the University of Louisiana Monroe.
LU was two shots behind ninth place Texas State.
In the final round, the Cards finished with 15 birdies.
David Schneider Jerez made six birdies to finish at two-under-par (70) for the day.
The Cardinals tallied 46 birdies at the tournament, the fourth-highest mark.
Wrapping up the team leaderboard, the University of Houston (276-279-289) finished in first with a nine-shot lead over Troy.
Troy's Jake Springer (70-69-70) claimed the top spot on the individual leaderboard with a one-shot lead over Houston's Chi Chun Chen.

UP NEXT
LU will compete at the Chamber Bay Invitational in Seattle, Wash. from Monday-Tuesday March 31-April 1.
The Cards will also have some individuals play at the OU Spring Indy in Ardmore, Okla. at Dornick Hills Country Club from Tuesday-Wednesday, April 1-2.
