NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Lamar University's track and field teams opened their time at the Carl Kight Invitational hosted by Stephen F. Austin on Friday. While the distance runners would have their time to shine, the Cardinals did pick up a few top three's.
Alex Williams III earned third place in the shot put tossing a season-best 16.46m (54'0"). This marks the fifth best distance in program history. Calvin Mason also partook in the event and set a new personal best of 15.11m (49'7") to finish seventh.
Another third place finisher came from Geovany Cisneros, who posted a personal best of 3:55.87 in the 1500m.
