BEAUMONT, Texas - As the spring season progresses, Lamar University's men's golf team is expected to return to action this Monday when they will partake in the same tournament as No. 1 ranked Auburn University, who is hosting their annual Tiger Invitational.
Unlike in previous years, this tournament will take place at the AU Club, which is a par-72 golf course composed of 7,591 yards. The tournament will begin on Monday with 36 holes and will conclude on Tuesday with the last 18.
AU will have two teams competing, which along with LU will make up a field of 18. The other 15 participants include Ball State, East Carolina, Elon, FGCU, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Jax State, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Northern Illinois, Richmond, Southern Miss, Toledo, UNCW and Wichita State.
Head coach Jessie Mudd will line up his squad in this order: Carl Hardin, Jacob Lindh, David Schneider Jerez, Nathan Woodham, and Pedro Marin.
