Jerlebo Honored With Academic All-Conference Selection

| By:
FRISCO, Texas - The Southland Conference handed out their all-academic honors for the 2022-23 season on Tuesday. Lamar University's women's golf team has one member on the second team in Linnea Jerlebo.

The all-academic teams were voted on by a head coach, sports information director and an academic/compliance staff member from each Southland Conference institution. Student-athletes must possess a 3.0 cumulative GPA and completed one full academic year at the nominating institution to qualify for All-Academic selection. Voting of one's players was not permitted.

Off the course, Jerlebo, a native of Hofterup, Sweden, holds a perfect 4.0 GPA while majoring in Management. Selected as a member on the LU President's list, she was also awarded the Dean's Award for Excellence in Business Management, the Ben J. Rogers Outstanding Business Student Award, and the Mary Gray Presidential Award.

On the course, Jerlebo appeared in 30 rounds for LU posting a 77.77 stroke average. Her lowest round of the year was 73, which she achieved four times at the HCU Husky Invitational, the UTRGV Invitational, and twice at the Cardinal Challenge, which helped get her a tie for second place (73-73-76--222). This would also help LU claim their second straight Cardinal Challenge tournament championship.
