Cardinals Finish Tiger Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. - The men's golf team of Lamar University completed their final 18 holes of the Auburn Tiger Invitational on Tuesday. LU would match their first round total of 295 strokes on this round. But their three round total of 892 strokes (295-302-295) would see them finish 17th out of 18th place.

After two rounds of 70, Hugo Hellman would finish with 73 strokes to get himself tied for 15th with 213 strokes. Carl Hardin recorded his second 73 in the tournament, which along with the 76 in the second round, made him tied for 52nd with 222 strokes. Jacob Lindh posted his second 75 stroke round and adding the 79 from yesterday, he ends his tournament tied for 76th with 229 strokes. Guillermo Estivill (81-78-74) tied for 86th with 233 strokes while Pedro Marin (77-78-79) finished one stroke and two spots behind.

Auburn wound up claiming the team title by 31 strokes while Carson Bacha won the individual title. The Cardinals will now head on the road to Tallahassee, Fla., to compete in the Florida State's Intercollegiate beginning next Monday.
