WBB CENTRAL: New Orleans

| By:
BEAUMONT, Texas - With seven consecutive wins in a row and out of first place in the Southland Conference by just one game, Lamar University's women's basketball team will look to make their last home game at the Montagne Center a memorable one as they will look to battle with New Orleans at 3:00 p.m., this Saturday. It will also be senior day as Brooklyn Mitchell and Malay McQueen will be honored for their careers at LU.

SECRET SEVEN
Lamar is currently the hottest team in the Southland Conference having won a season best seven straight games. At 17-10, LU is currently sitting in third place with a conference record of 11-5 and are one game back of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Southeastern Louisiana, whom LU defeated Thursday night.

EIGHT IS ENOUGH. SO IS 14
Akasha Davis racked up her eighth double-double on the season and 14th in her career when she scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the win over SLU. Davis is now tied for fourth in the conference with 13.8 points per game along with teammate Sabria Dean. Davis will need one more point for 700 career points in only first two seasons.

SAY IT AIN'T SO BROOKLYN & MALAY?
Saturday's game will be senior night as Brooklyn Mitchell and Malay McQueen will be honored for their careers at LU. McQueen also tallied her 600th career point against SLU.

HISTORY AGAINST THE PRIVATEERS
LU was blindsided in their last meeting against UNO falling 60-46 in a game they had a dismal 30.8% shooting from the field. In spite of their recent loss, LU holds a 23-18 mark all-time against UNO.

STILL IN THE HUNT
The Privateers are 6-10 currently in the conference, which is tied for eighth along with Houston Christian. With only five teams battling for the final four spots on the  conference tournament, UNO trails Northwestern State/McNeese by a game and UIW by two games.

THERE WAS PRYOR KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR SCORING SPREE
DeArica Pryor still leads all scorers in the conference with 15.4 points per game. She has scored in double-figures for 10 straight games and has had three straight 20+ point contests averaging 24.3 ppg in that stretch.
