  • The twins of Haley and Hanna Cavinder of Fresno State combined for 29 first-half points on 11-15 shooting as the Bulldogs took a 50-18 lead into the halftime break. Freshman Sabria Dean and redshirt junior Micaela Wilson went into the break tied at four points apiece.
  • Lamar's offense came out shooting efficiently in the third quarter at a 33.3 percent, while shooting 87.5 percent from the line. The Cardinals used a 12-0 run from the 5:49 mark to the 3:38 mark to loosen the lead from the Bulldogs, but that did not prove enough has Fresno State went on to extend their lead, 61-30, at the 3:30 mark on a layup from Aly Gamez. The Cardinals put together a solid effort in the third, but the Bulldogs were able to hold onto the lead going into the fourth.
  • Fresno State came out and continued to pressure the Cardinal offense as well as kept their own offense going. Lamar was held scoreless over the middle three minutes of the frame before a shooting foul on Wytalla Motta sent junior Umaja Collins to the line for two. The Bulldogs went on to hold the lead for the rest of the frame and took the victory, 99-49, over the Cardinals.
