BEAUMONT, Texas – The Cardinals are looking to bounce back against Nicholls, after dropping a nail biter to Abilene Christian, on Wednesday night in Thibodaux, La. Tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. (CT) from David R. Stopher Gymnasium.

The Colonels (3-10, 0-4 Southland) come into the matchup after dropping their previous contest to Sam Houston State, 87-71. Nicholls is led by redshirt senior Airi Hamilton, who averages 11.3 points per game and scored a team-high 17 points in the loss to Sam Houston State.
This will mark the 41
st meeting between the programs on the hardwood, with the Cardinals holding the series advantage, 24-16. The Cardinals captured the previous meeting, 78-65, over the Colonels.

- Sophomore Angel Hastings recorded a new career-high of 29 points on 9-21 shooting from the floor. She finished the afternoon shooting 5-for-11 from the perimeter.

- The Lamar University Cardinals remained unbeaten in Southland Conference play on Wednesday night after a 78-65 victory over Nicholls. The win for the Cards is its 38-straight victory at the Montagne Center.
