Briana Laidler nearly completed a double-double when she finished with eight points and eight rebounds in the contest.
Texas A&M – Corpus Christi (10-6, 4-2 Southland) went on the road and handed Abilene Christian their first home loss of the season on Wednesday, 70-58. The Islanders are led by senior Alexes Bryant, who averages 12.6 points per game on 50 percent shooting from the field.
This will mark the 26th meeting between the programs on the hardwood, with the Cardinals holding the series lead, 17-9. The Cardinals have not dropped a contest to Sam Houston State since January of 2015.
