ARLINGTON, Texas - Michael Feucht won his fourth-straight singles match, but 63rd-ranked Texas-Arlington overcame the Lamar men's tennis team 4-1 on Sunday at the UTA Tennis Center in non-conference action.

Lamar fell to 9-9 on the season and UTA improved to 10-5.

Feucht defeated Stefan Williams in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2 on No. 2 singles. He improved to 11-6 this season and 9-6 on court two. He four-match win streak his longest of the season.

The two programs elected to hold off on doubles unless it was needed to break a 3-3 tie.

Nikita Lis forced set one of his match to go to 7-5, but fell on court one 7-5, 6-3 to Sebastian Erimicioiu. Lis fell to 9-7 this season, all from line one.

Benny Schweizer fell to Jonathan Gonzalez 6-1, 6-1 on line three, and dropped to 10-7 on the year and 6-5 from the third position.

Jeandre Hoogenboezem and Daniel Armengol went unfinished on court four. Hoogenboezem won the first set in a tiebreaker, and was tied at 5-5 in the second set before it was called.

Juuso Laitinen fell to 8-7 on the season in singles action after he dropped his line five match to Carlos Arbiza, 6-2, 6-1. Steven McMullan lost to Mario Muniesa 6-3, 6-2 on court six.

The match was the last of a five-match road swing that took for Lamar that took it from South Carolina to Arlington. The Cardinals finish the regular season in Southland Conference action, first against Incarnate Word at the Thompson Family Tennis Center on April 3.
