FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Lamar University women's basketball team looks to ride the momentum from Thursday's win over Louisiana College when it meets Northern Arizona in a non-conference road game at 1:30 p.m. (Central) Sunday.
The Cardinals (1-2) posted the third-largest margin of victory in program history in the 99-34 victory over Louisiana College, as all 11 layers had at least four points and one rebound, with four players scoring in double figures, led by
Addesha Collins' 17 points.
The Cardinals are looking for their first road victory of the season, while Northern Arizona (0-2) is looking for its first win. The Lumberjacks, a member of the Big Sky Conference, dropped a 61-52 home decision to Hawaii and a 77-66 decision on the road to UTEP. Northern Arizona is led by freshman center Alyssa Rader, who is averaging 11 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Freshman guard
Chastadie Barrs has had an impressive start for LU. Barrs leads LU in scoring (14.3 points per game), assists (17) and steals (14). She is second on the team in rebounding (6.7).
Senior guards
Addesha Collins (11.3 points per game) and
JaMeisha Edwards (9.3 points per game) are next on the LU scoring list.
"We have depth this year," Harmony said. "We know that if one player is struggling, someone else can step up."
Sunday's game wraps up a whirlwind week for the Cardinals, who will be playing their third game in as many states in six days. The Cardinals dropped a heart-breaking four-point decision at Utah on Tuesday before responding with the convincing win over Louisiana College on Thursday.
The Cardinals practiced Saturday morning at Northern Arizona before departing for a short excursion to see the nearby Grand Canyon on Saturday afternoon.
"We know this is a business trip, and on Sunday it's all business," Harmony said. "But it's great when we can do some special things as a team to help build unity."
