WACO, Texas - The Lamar University men's team saw its two-match winning streak come to an end with a 7-0 non-conference loss to 28th-ranked Baylor on Thursday.

Lamar (5-6) picked up its only win at third doubles, as the the tandem of Diego Snyder and Carlos Valdenebro defeated Robert Verzaal amd Chris Gordon 8-7 (2).

Snyder was the only Lamar singles player to go three sets, dropping a 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 decision to Cerzaal.

Baylor's John Peters, ranked 22nd in the nation, defeated Denis Ermilov 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.

Baylor improved to 7-2.

Lamar hosts Prairie View A&M in a non-conference match at 9 a.m. Saturday.
