BEAUMONT, Texas - Robert Lee improved to 6-1 at singles, bu the Lamar University men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 Southland Conference decision to visiting Nicholls on Saturday.

Marton Horvath won at fifth singles and Diego Snyder won at No. 6 singles for the Cardinals (5-2 overall, 0-1 conference).

Nicholls clinched the win when Eric Fisher held off Denis Ermilov for a marathon 7-6, 3-6, 7-6 (8) win at No. 4 singles.

Lamar hosts Prairie View A&M at 1 p.m. Thursday.
