BEAUMONT, Texas - The Lamar University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Louisiana Lafayette Friday afternoon at the Cardinal Courts.
The Ragin' Cajuns swept the doubles point to pick up the first point of the match then won five of the six singles contests to win the match 6-1. Lamar's point came from Marton Horvath who battled from behind at No. 3 to defeat Piotr Olechowski 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.
With the loss the Cardinals fall to 7-10 overall for the year.
The LU men will be back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. when they host Southland Conference foe UT Pan American in their final home match of the year.
