PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas - The Lamar University men's tennis team bounced back from a hard-fought weekend loss to SMU on Tuesday afternoon, rolling over the Prairie View A&M Panthers on the road.

The Cards wasted little time in the match, winning 6-0 to improve to 3-2 on the year. With the win under their caps, the LU men will return to action on Thursday afternoon at the Cardinal Courts when they host the Centenary Gents at 1:30 p.m.

In Tuesday's contest Mario Janjic claimed the No. 1 singles match with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Jashua Chavez, while Maciej Bogusz took out Kudakabaske Ngatoti 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. The match at No. 3 was claimed by Tobias Schnieder 6-1, 6-2 over Jose Garcia, Marton Horvath won a battle over Christopher Jordan 6-3, 0-6, 6-2 at No. 4 and Richard Filkuka took out Fidd Providence 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5. In the match at No. 6 Devin Harley steamrolled Caz Tankersley 6-0, 6-0 to finish off the 6-0 win for Lamar.

With the threat of rain, the double matches were not played in order to ensure the singles matches could be contested.
