CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Lamar University men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Southland Conference leader Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Despite being taken down 7-0, the Cardinal put up a fight as Maciej Bogusz was edged at No. 3 singles by Dmitry Novikov 5-7, 6-4, 10-5.

The Islanders wrapped up a perfect Southland Conference season with the win, while the Cardinals will look to knock off UT-Arlington on Sunday in their final regular season match of the year. The match will be played at the Cardinals Courts at 2 p.m.
