BEAUMONT, Texas — Lamar University returns to action at the three-day Argent Financial Classic, hosted by Louisiana Tech from Sept. 27-29 at Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, La.
The tournament marks one of the Cardinals' final three events of the fall season.
RECAPPING LAST WEEK:
- The Cardinals finished eighth in a 13-team field at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic.
- Rory Bennet finished just outside the top 25 with a 54-hole score of 218 (70-72-76).
- Lamar recorded four rounds of par or better during the tournament.
- Bennet posted two of those rounds while Nathan Woodham opened the event with a 70 and Storm Du Toit carded a final-round 72.
- The Cardinals finished the tournament with 51 birdies and 196 pars.
- Matthew Bramford and Woodham lead the Cardinals with a 71.5 stroke average while Bennet ranks second on the team at 71.8.
- The Cardinals have recorded 10 rounds of par or better this season, with Bennet and Woodham contributing three each.
- Bramford owns the team's top individual finish, tying for seventh at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic.
- Bramford also recorded the Cardinals' best 54-hole score of the season, posting a 207 (67-71-69).
- Through 36 rounds, Lamar carries a team scoring average of 73.1.
