Matthew Bramford paced the Cardinals in the opening round with a 1-under-par 71, recording two birdies, 12 pars and an eagle.
He played the back nine at 1 under with two birdies and six pars while his eagle came on the second hole.
Nathan Woodham carded two eagles and a birdie to finish the front nine at even par.
Competing as an individual,
Fermin Martinez played a bogey-free back nine, shooting 2-under with two birdies and seven pars.
The Cardinals totaled three eagles, 13 birdies and 57 pars in the opening round.
Bramford followed with another 1-under 71 in the second round, posting four birdies and 11 pars to finish the day at 2-under and inside the top 25 individually.
Woodham shot an even-par 72 in the second round after playing the back nine at 1-under. He recorded six birdies during the round.
Rory Bennet played the back nine at even par, tallying two birdies and five pars.
Lamar registered 21 birdies and 50 pars in the second round and enters the final round five strokes behind 14th-place West Georgia.
Host Florida Gulf Coast and Appalachian State share the team lead at 558.
Stetson's Uy Doan leads the individual standings at 9-under 135 (68-67), one stroke ahead of Appalachian State's Caden Lee and Florida Gulf Coast's Christian Figueredo.
