BEAUMONT, Texas – Dan Milburn, one of the top junior players from the nation of New Zealand, has signed with Lamar University announced head coach Scott Shankles Tuesday afternoon.
 
One of the nation's top netters dating back to his time as a U13 player, Milburn makes his way to the Golden Triangle having left a paper trail of success in his wake. Milburn has won the New Zealand Singles and Doubles national titles at both the 18U and 16U level. He has also recorded titles at the New Zealand J30 Junior IT Championships (singles and doubles) and a J60 Junior ITF doubles title.
 
Milburn has represented his how nation in the 16U Junior Davis Cup (Asian/Oceania) in Kazakhstan, as well as the U13 and U15 Australian Teams events.
 
His talent was put on display early in his career climbing as high as No. 2 nationally in the U14 polls while taking the nation's top spot in the rankings in both the U16 and U18 polls. Milburn will be joining a talented Cardinals roster that finished one win shy of the conference title this past season.
