BEAUMONT, Texas — Three Cardinals were named to the Southland's All-Academic team, the conference office announced Wednesday.

David Schneider Jerez led the Cardinals with a 72.0 stroke average across 11 tournaments and 33 rounds.
He recorded a team-high 17 rounds at par or better and posted three top 10 finishes.
Schneider turned in the team's lowest round of the season, carding a 63 in the second round of the Louisiana Classics on March 9.
He also produced the Cardinals' best 54-hole score, posting a 206 to tie for sixth at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic on Sept. 24.
His top finish came at the Golden Nugget Invitational, where he tied for fifth with a three-round total of 207 on March 3.
His performance helped lead Lamar to its first regular-season tournament victory since 2016, as the Cardinals set a program 54-hole record with an 823, surpassing the previous mark of 825 set in 2007.
Schneider led the team with a 70.6 stroke average in the fall and a 72.8 mark in the spring.
He earned Southland Conference Co-Golfer of the Month honors on April 8, the second such recognition of his career, and was named first-team All-Southland Conference.
Schneider was also named to the Dean's List and President's List.

Nathan Woodham earned second-team All-Southland Conference honors after posting the team's second-best stroke average at 72.8 over 33 rounds.
Woodham recorded a season-low round of 67 in the second round of the Border Olympics on Feb. 16 and finished with 15 rounds at par or better.
He also turned in a top five finish, tying for fourth at the Border Olympics.
Woodham added his best 54-hole performance at the Golden Nugget Invitational, carding a 209.
He earned more academic recognition by being named to the Dean's List and President's List.

Filip Widepalm played 33 rounds and posted a 74.6 stroke average, recording seven rounds at par or better.
He turned in a season-low round of 67 in the second round of the Louisiana Classics and added his best 54-hole score of 212 at the Golden Nugget Invitational.
Widepalm recorded four top 20 finishes, including a tie for 15th at the Military City Collegiate on Feb. 24.
