Mariam Buenanueva Saleme added three top-10 finishes to conclude the women's heptathlon in third (5.596) on the second day of the Texas A&M 44 Farms Invitational Friday.
A weather delay held the meet for an hour, but when the skies cleared up, Buenanueva Saleme set personal bests in both the long jump (5.92m/19-5.25m) and the 800 meters (2:17.27) to claim fourth and fifth, respectively. She added an eighth-place finish in the javelin throw (36.81m/120-9.00). Teammate

th (4,330) while participating in the long jump (17
th; 5.29m/17-4.25) and the javelin (5
th; 40.57m/133-1.00)
The Cardinals added four top-10 finishes as
Aryssa Rodriguez (1:00.72) and
Ethan Ellis (52.37) both placed sixth in their 400-meter hurdle events, while
London Jessie ran the 800m in ninth at 1:54.26. In the field events,
Kenson Tate would take ninth in the long jump, leaping for 7.11m (23-4).
The final day of this meet will commence Saturday at 10 a.m. with the women's javelin, while the 4x100 relays open at 6 p.m.
