MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. —
David Schneider Jerez finished the second round of the Sandestin Collegiate Classic shooting four under par (67) to climb the leaderboard to sixth place Tuesday at the Raven Golf Club.
Schneider had a bogey-free day, making four birdies. He shot three under par on the back nine as he made back-to-back birdies on the 17th and 18th holes.
The Cardinals slipped from sixth to ninth place with a Day 2 score of 282.
Fermin Martinez wrapped up the back nine at three under par after making three birdies. He finished the day at two under par.
Lamar University tallied 19 birdies. Four of the six players birdied the third hole.
Toby Peters had back-to-back birdies at the 12th and 13th holes.
Matthew Bramford, who's competing as an individual, finished the day at three under par (68).
He made four birdies and 13 pars. Bramford finished the front nine at two under.
The Cardinals are seven strokes outside of the top five.
West Florida leads the way with a two-stroke lead over Middle Tennessee after shooting a two-round total of 552.
Middle Tennessee's Carter Maneth sits atop the individual leaderboard with a total score of 132, holding a two-stroke lead over Austin Peay's Patton Samuels.
