David Schneider Jerez was named second team All-Southland Conference, the conference office announced Thursday morning.
Schneider finished off a solid season after playing in 36 rounds (2,668 strokes) with a 73.2 average, the best on the team.
He had a pair of top 10 finishes, tying for ninth place at the Kapolei Invitational in Honolulu, Hawai'i back on Oct. 31 with a total score of 217 (72-71-75).
His next top 10 finish came at the Southland Conference tournament in Kerrville where he tied for ninth with a total score of 216 after carding the scores of 75-70-71.
Schneider's best 54-hole score came during the fall at the Graeme McDowell Invitational in Oneonta, Ala. where he carded a total score of 211 with the scores of 71-70-70 back on Sept. 24.
His lowest round score of 68 came during the second round of the Bayou City Collegiate on Oct. 1 in Houston.
Schneider recorded a team-best six rounds of par or better.
He also tallied the best scoring average during the fall portion of the season, recording 1,105 strokes for an average of 73.6.
During the spring, Schneider led the Cards with a 74.4 average after recording 1,563 strokes.
Schneider also recorded three top 20 finishes as he tied for 14th at the Graeme McDowell Invitational, tied for 16th at the Bayou City Collegiate and tied for 18th at the Border Olympics in Laredo back on Feb. 18.
He is ranked No. 702 in the nation by Scoreboard as he has gone 580-387-31 against Division I players.
