KERRVILLE, Texas — Lamar University finished fourth at the Southland Conference tournament after carding a final round score of 284 on Wednesday afternoon at Comanche Trace.
LU shot the scores of 298-282-284 (864), finishing two shots behind third place UTRGV.
The Cards recorded their sixth-straight top five finish at the conference tournament since the 2018-2019 season.
Matthew Bramford shot two-under-par (70) for the final round after he made three birdies on the front nine.
Bramford made nine-straight pars on the back nine.
David Schneider Jerez shot even-par on the front before making four birdies on the back nine to finish at one-under-par (71) for the round.
Rory Bennet tallied four birdies to card a score of 71, finishing the day at one-under-par.
Filip Widepalm made an eagle on the fourth hole to finish at two-under-par on the front nine.
The Cardinals tallied 17 birdies in the final round.
LU finished with the third-most birdies at the tournament, making 49. LU also tied for second with two eagles.
The Cards tied the best score on the par three's, shooting at two-over-par with a 3.03 average.
Bramford ended up tying for fifth place with a total score of 212 (72-70-70) to finish at four-under-par for the tournament.
Jerez also finished in the top 10, tying for ninth place with a total score of 216 (75-70-71),
Bennet ended up tying for 18th place with a total score of 219 (76-72-71) while
Nathan Woodham also finished tied for 18th with the three-day scores of 77-70-72.
Augusta's Bo Blanchard ended up winning the individual title with a score of 200 (66-67-67) to finish four shots ahead of Incarnate Word's Ken-Marten Soo.
Augusta won its third-straight conference title with a total score of 843 (285-280-278), to finish with a nine-shot lead over second place UIW.
