LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — In the final fall competition,
David Schneider Jerez paced the Lamar University men's golf team by shooting three under (69) during the final round of the Everett Buick GMC Classic Tuesday afternoon at Chenal Country Club.
Schneider rose up 11 spots to finish within the top 20 after shooting the total score of 212 (4-under-par) (71-72-69) to tie for 18th.
He made four straight birdies to finish with six for the day.
The Cardinals made 21 birdies during the final round. LU had four birdies made at the ninth and 12th holes.
A total of 11 birdies were made on the front nine while 10 were landed on the back nine.
Matthew Bramford and
Nathan Woodham each shot one under on the front nine. Woodham made three birdies while Bramford had two.
Bramford shot even par on the back nine with three birdies and four pars.
For the round, Bramford finished at one under (71).
The tourney host, Little Rock, won the team title with a total score of 830 (277-276-277) to hold a 21-stroke lead over UAB.
Lipscomb's Minas Manias tallied the total score of 202 (64-69-69) to hold on to the top spot on the individual leaderboard with a one-stroke lead over Little Rock's Ed Featherstone.
