BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University men's tennis team will kick off the 2024 fall season Friday when they travel to Corpus Christi, Texas to open the annual Jack Frederick Memorial Islander Open. The three-day, eight-team field will consist of seven singles flights and three doubles flights.
The eight-team field consists of tournament host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, LU, Rice, UT Rio Grande Valley, UT Arlington, Abilene Christian, UIW and UTSA. Competition is set to begin with doubles at 9 a.m. followed by singles at 10 a.m. Friday morning from the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.
