Lamar Men’s Tennis Adds Two

| By:
BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University added two players to its roster Friday afternoon including one signee and one junior college transfer. Lukas Hamacher (Germany) comes to Beaumont as a freshman while Guy Dagan (Israel) enters as a junior.

"I'm really excited about the addition of these two players," said head coach Scott Shankles. "Guy brings a ton of experience with him to Beaumont. Originally signing with Northern Illinois before going the junior college route, Guy was an elite player in Israel with a lot of futures tournaments under his belt. He will bring a veteran presence to our lineup.

"Lukas is another in a long line of players from Germany who has made his way to Beaumont. He brings with him a ton of potential after playing in numerous junior and adult national tournaments back in Germany," added Shankles.

Hamacher makes his way to the Golden Triangle after a highly successful career in Germany where he ranked among the country's top 250 players.

After signing with Northern Illinois out of high school, Dagan transferred to Collin County College where he played No. 3 singles and Nos. 1 and 2 doubles. He helped guide Collin to a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships going 2-1 in his three tournament matches.
