BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University bolstered its lineup with the addition of Fabian Anthin and Egor Morozov announced men's head tennis coach Scott Shankles Wednesday afternoon.
 
The signings come as the Cardinals begin the 2024 campaign with a senior and four juniors on the roster.
 
A native of Sweden, Anthin posted a 69 percent win percentage as a junior nationals player posting a 1,078 world ranking.
 
Anthin is joined by Morozov who is one of the top players in the state of Texas. A two-time state finalist at Houston Memorial High School, Morozov has received all-district honors the past four seasons.
 
Morozov has found success both in singles and doubles. A two-time state finalist in singles, Morozov has won the regional title four times during his career, as well as winning a mixed doubles title. He was key in guiding Memorial to two state finals appearance and a four regional team titles.
