Seminole Intercollegiate Halted By Darkness

| By:
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Weather conditions weren't as favorable as Lamar University's men's golf team along with 14 other teams had a delayed start to the Seminole Intercollegiate hosted by No. 8 Florida State. While everyone was able to get through the first round, the delay meant that the teams would be unable to finish their second round due on account of darkness. As it stands, LU sits in 15th overall while currently competing on the 12th-15th holes.

Hugo Hellman shot an even-par 72 in the first round. He was one-under-par with two holes to play before a bogey dropped him back a stroke. Hellman is currently tied for 27th on the 10th hole with four holes to finish. Carl Hardin is tied for 46th after shooting a 75 in the first round and is five holes away from completing the second while he l Pedro Marin sits tied for 54th following a 78 in round one.

After shooting an 84 in the first round, Guillermo Estivill is two-under-par for the second with four holes to go, which has him tied for 66th. Jacob Lindh is in 81st following an 83 on the first 18 holes.

FSU is currently leading No. 24 Ole Miss by 22 strokes although they like the rest of the teams will need to finish the second round tomorrow. Four Seminoles are in the top five with Gray Albright leading by one over teammate Luke Clanton, who is tied with Ole Miss' Hugo Clanton. As soon as the second round ends tomorrow, the third round will begin.
