BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University men's tennis will be hosting its annual fall tournament – the Ron Wesbrooks Invitational – beginning Friday at the Thompson Family Tennis Center. The three-day, five-team tournament will consist of Lamar, Abilene Christian, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Prairie View A&M and Rice.
 
Named for former Lamar University men's tennis head coach, and Cardinals Hall of Honor member, Ron Wesbrooks, tournament play is slated to begin at 2 p.m. Friday with the doubles competition followed by a 3 p.m. start for singles. Saturday and Sunday rounds of action will begin at 9 a.m. doubles followed by singles approximately an hour later.
 
The tournament is a traditional fall tournament following an individual format. Singles will consist of four flights while double will consist of two.
