BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University men's tennis team will wrap up its fall season with one final tournament beginning Friday in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Cardinals will compete in the Islander Open II, a three-day, six-team tournament hosted by conference rival Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The individual format tournament will consist of tournament host A&M-Corpus Christi, Lamar, Prairie View A&M, UT Rio Grande Valley and St. Mary's.
The tournament schedule had not been released at press time but all matches will take place at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Complex.
Following the tournament, the Cardinals will take several weeks off from competition before opening the spring season January 12
th at Texas.
