Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Lamar University opened a tough three-day stretch at Arkansas Friday falling to the Razorbacks, 4-0, in a match where the final score was not indicative of how close the contest was.
Despite being shutout, the Cardinals forced three singles courts to a third set, with all three of those matches being halted after the Razorbacks scored the fourth point.
The pivotal point of the of the match was the first point of the day. Arkansas managed to take the doubles point with victories on courts 2 and 3. The Cardinals'

Filippo Salsini were locked in a tough battle at the No. 1 spot, down just a game, but the match was halted when Arkansas picked up their second victory.

Max Amling taking the early lead at No. 1 singles. Fortunately, the Cardinals had strong responses on courts 5 and 6 where Salsini and freshman
Max Milic battled back to win the second sets as LU was headed to a third on courts 1, 5, and 6.
Unfortunately, before any of those matches could be decided Arkansas held on for straight-set victories at Nos. 2, 3 and 4 to take the overall decision.
The Cardinals now hit the road for Stillwater, Okla., where they will play three matches over the next 48 hours. Big Red will open things up with Omaha (10 a.m.) and Oral Roberts (3 p.m.) Saturday.
